Evoke has partnered with an AI start-up which has recently raised a significant seed funding round and is looking to build its UK engineering team.

The founders have a strong background in building AI and robotics startups and have previously taken a business through to acquisition. For this business, they have the backing of a prominent US Venture Capital firm.

You will be working on a cutting-edge AI technology platform focused on optimising the database as they scale, building backend APIs and improving the reliability and uptime of the platform.

As one of the first 10 engineering hires, you will play a significant role in defining the product and culture within the team (and be rewarded with equity).

We’re looking for:

• 3 – 10 years of backend development experience (multiple hires so open to varying experience)
• Python backend development experience, ideally with FastAPI
• Experience of working in a start-up environment
• Proven track record of working on complex backend systems
• Front-end experience would be beneficial (React), but this is NOT mandatory
