The co-founder of investment firm White Horse Capital has launched VenturePath, a membership community for UK tech entrepreneurs that provides networking opportunities, expert advice and capital.

VenturePath has launched with more than 100 founder members from the likes of Gophr, Fifty Technology, Optalitix, Edozo and Forestreet. It counts 15 prominent UK tech VCs, including Octopus Ventres and Amadeus Capital Partners, among its backers in addition to Ian Merrricks’ White Horse capital.

It also has senior advisor support from Piers Linney, formerly of Dragon’s Den, and Dr Tim Hames, ex-director general for the British Venture Capital Association.

The London-based network is looking to provide support to startups at a time when funding is slowing down and business conditions are becoming more difficult.

To qualify for VenturePath membership, founders must be based in the UK, have revenue of £1m – £5m and looking to secure Series A or B funding. Membership fees are based on the company’s annual revenue.

VenturePath will accept a further 50 technology founders into its networking group next year.

It joins other tech-focused business networks in the UK such as Tech Nation and Founders Forum.
