London-based digital health tech startup Healios has secured £14m in funding to expand its mental healthcare services across the US via its subsidiary Meliora.
Founded in 2013, Healios provides digital mental health support to children, young people, and families dealing with conditions like autism and ADHD.
The startup offers self-management apps, online video sessions with clinicians, cognitive behavioural therapy, and goal-based interventions.
“Healios and Meliora’s unique model combines a multidisciplinary team with our innovative online platform, evidence-based treatments, and a family-centric approach to address a range of complex clinical needs of children and young people, said Rich Andrew, CEO of Healios.
The funding round featured participation from the Autism Impact Fund (AIF) and existing investors AlbionVC and InHealth Ventures.
“Autism Impact Fund’s investment in Healios and Meliora reflects our conviction in their business model and our belief in the importance of their family-centric approach to diagnosis and therapeutic intervention,” said Rob Sarrazin, AIF’s chief investment officer.
“This latest investment is AIF’s 11th since launching our first fund in 2021, and it represents another important step in our mission to revolutionise the status quo for diagnosing, treating and living with autism through a venture capital model,” added Sarrazin.
Healios previously raised £7m in a Series A funding round in May 2021.
